John C. Cosseboom, a successful insurance businessman from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was a passionate salmon fisherman of the Margaree River in the 1920’s and 30’s. He originated the Cosseboom Fly here. The original fly was yellow; now it is tied in green and red also.
The Margaree Salmon Museum is a registered charitable organization devoted to the history and preservation of artifacts associated with the peoples, activities and nature of the Margaree River Watershed.
